Pediatrics Practice Announces Start of Saturday/Sunday Hours

WEIRTON, WV, February 14, 2008 - In response to the growing demand for pediatric care in the Ohio Valley, First Steps Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine announced today the launch of "FSP Weekend Hours" at their Weirton, WV office.

Beginning March 1st, FSP will provide acute care coverage on the Second Level of its Weirton pediatric facility on Saturdays from 8am to 6pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm. "Acute illnesses needing attention on a weekend can now be treated in the office rather than a prolonged ER visit or waiting for a Monday appointment" said Dr. Anna Suray, medical director of First Steps Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. "This has been a growing need of the community and we are delighted to be able to provide the service."

The first phase of the Weekend Hours program will be focused on acute-care, however as flu season subsides, well-care services will be added to the Weekend Hours offerings. Any interested patients or parents may contact Mary Little for more information at 304-723-4000.
